Mr McSpiff I can’t believe you responded to a 4 year old comment, but yes I do believe that a kid understands acting direction, all the producers would have to say is “act like you’re scared.” There is a long process of selecting people to act in music videos, producers are going to choose the kid that has the most convincing act. The kid obviously has acting skill. There’s no logic behind your reasoning anyway the only thing you said was that “you can see the terror on that kids face in more than one scene.” That’s his job man, he convinced you into thinking his fear was real, so I’d say he did his job very well.

for anyone wondering, the making of video shows the kid was okay, like 80% of the time. Him crying around all the zombies and the firstt monster is real though, but they bribed him with goldfish
Really… you’re that gullible? You see an edited video with roughly 1 minute screen time of the kid with cherry picked smiles and some cries and you honestly believe that is representative of his total experience?
He was 18 months old…. when we use toddler models, they burn out in less than 1 hour. That’s completely normal and we respect that. I mean litterally…. 1 hour a day. Their brains aren’t wired to handle that much stress and input. So take your BTS crap and stick it… I saw it as well, but since i’ve made quite a lot of those as well, I know exactly how they are put together. They would never show the scope of the amount of times he cried.
Imagine being a toddle… you get scared, you cry, from you lungs, you want mom to pick you up, hesitantly she does…. 5 minutes later you stop crying, she puts you down around that which made you cry once more. Talk about trust issues.
There’s a reason, and a very good one, why you wont see anything like this made today…..

+Norman Rucker Can’t tell if troll bait or not…… kids up till the age of 3-4 can’t act, they can be told what to do. But their emotional response to ANY situation is purely based on raw feelings, as such, if scared > cry….. there’s no such thing as a 3 year old pretending to cry while pretending to be scared. This is basic child psychology and evolutionary stuff mate ffs!!
