  1. IMOGEN HEAP The Happy Song lyrics

    Bring! Bring! On the bicycle
    Beep! Beep! In the car
    Ping! Ping! A submarine
    Phew! Phew! helicopter
    A choo-choo train
    An aeroplane
    A “wee!” down the slide

    I just adore-dore-dore
    You every day more
    Wherever we are

    So up in the sky
    And deep in the ocean
    Through valleys and hills
    Away we go

    Bring! Bring! On the bicycle
    Beep! Beep! In the car
    Ping! Ping! A submarine
    Phew! Phew! helicopter
    A choo-choo train
    An aeroplane
    A rocket to the stars!

    There’s a dance-dance-dance
    Going on in my heart
    Wherever we are

    So up in the sky
    And deep in the ocean
    Through valleys and hills
    Away we go

    You little monkey
    You’re staying up late
    Who purrs like a cat
    When they get their own
Who then turns into a lion
    Who lets out a…

    (RAWR!)

    I love-love-love
    You every day more
    Whatever’s in store

    So up in the sky
    And deep in the ocean
    Through valleys and hills
    Away we go

    So up in the sky
    And deep in the ocean
    Through valleys and hills
    Away we go

  2. My baby loves the song, if he’s crying or fussy it calms him down. He can be screaming and I put the song on and he listens and starts smiling!ive used the song to get him back to sleep during the night, teamed with some cuddles too ☺️
What I’ve noticed is it’s not only my son who likes it, I find it oddly addictive and I find myself putting it on repeat in the car (with son in back) and I’m singing along lol.
I’ve just come out of post natal depression and I was finding it very hard to bond with him when he was born due to an emergency c-section and other problems. When I listen to the song with him I hold him so much more and it makes me cry because it stirs such happy feelings over him for me. It makes me stop and treasure him more and to see how amazing he is!
Thank you so much Imogen (always been a fan since Hide and Seek ?) and everyone else who helped with this beautifully happy song! Xx

  3. Me = jammin so hard while listening to this song via headset
My friends = what are you listening to
    Me = the happy song
My friends = isn’t this a baby song
Me = just enjoy the beat

5 minutes later we all jammin so hard to this song

    1. My almost 5 month old found it interesting, didn’t really smile but he watched it. I think by “happy” means it will distract them enough to stop crying. When are babies actually unhappy though, unless mine is stuck in a car seat, he’s happy. He has a full tummy and has various activities to keep him going. Being a baby is the life!

  5. My baby instantly stops crying when we play this song….don’t know what’s the magic in this song that attracts her!! My whole family knows that this is the weapon to be used when she cries!!! Thanks to makers of this song!!

  6. In my violin class… we were doing something called squilts, which is where you have to fill out things for a song like the mood, the Melody’s instrument, the genre, etc. We had do a squilt for Anna’s theme from Leap Year, which is pretty depressing. After the song was over he casually walks over to his computer and plays this. Everyone starts laughing and he explained how this song was a song by a group of scientists that wanted a song that would keep babies calm and happy… then he made us play recorders… while the song was still going… we were laughing while we played so it sounded like dying camels… WHICH MADE US LAUGH HARDER! Anyways, thank you for making my violin class interesting lol ?

  7. I was very skeptical however…this is my go to when my 16 week old daughter is very upset and crying hysterically…no matter wjat the situation she smiles everytime I play this to her. Even daddy bear starts singing this to her to get her to smile.
